Re: Original A.F. vs Joe A.F?

For me the best era of AF was the BAF time, when AF went over to Marvel i think it lost a lot of its epic gritty realistic style, the stories in BAF realised the original 'War on Terror' during the 70's and early 80's.Desert Strike for example could have been set during the war between Libya and Chad,...

Re: Truly dreadful BAF moments

Why did they never do a Hoxworth Whipple/Surfer story?then there was the last days of BAF when other than Deep Cover the stories really tailed off.And i don't think any of the Marvel stories ever reached the epic quality of Bloodhound or Desert Strike,or the depth of characters that Stakeout or Quic...

Re: New G.I.Joes coming to the UK?

I was talking to one of the staff at Newcastles FP,and he said he hoped they would be getting the sideshow joes.BUT those in charge of buying at the chain are a bit slow and tend to buy what is popular at that time.

Re: Truly wonderful BAF moments

My best moments were:- Z-Force-Tracker & Breakers recon & intel gathering mission during 'Desert Strike' that ended with them recovering the Attack Cannon. SAS-Force-Claymore begining to end and Bloodhound except the 'Attack' sub-story. AF-Gotta be 'Codename:Scrapyard' followed by 'Op Snakebite' and...

Re: Hasbro's G.I. JOE Q&A Round Four 2008

As i said in a previous post Hasbro has leased the licence for the Action Man 40th collection to Dragon In Dreams,
DID have since released 13 waves with 1 or 2 more to follow. This could be a blueprint for a 25th Action Force
release.

Re: Hasbro's G.I. JOE Q&A Round Two 2008

I know i can't speak for everyone but for me the best era of BAF was the Z-Force,SAS Force etc... & the early days of the Action Force team led by Duke,so i would like to see those figures.I always thought the personalities of the English version was more realistic, such as the likes of Ripcord being...

Re why no new AF comics

seaneley wrote: How hard is it to make a comic these days? Anyone can do it on their computer, and you boys know the stories better than anyone! :)
People would buy your product simply for nostalgia's sake. Guaranteed!

If Commando war stories is still going then why should'nt BAF do a best 12 stories?

Re: GI Joe Movie

i gotta admit the Baroness looks just like she did back in BAF during the mid-eighties,but for me the stories that were published in BAF are far better than those published by Marvel. They just seemed more realistic, and could easily be transferred to todays world.
