Palitoy was a factory with a large amount of human labour. As a result there were loads of variants. My best guess is that aligning the spray templates turned out to be a nightmare and/or took too much time to keep up with demand, so the template was dropped. Wavey and straight are from same period,...

For missing black a permanent marker does the trick as well! After applying let the ink dry and rub it with your finger a little to make it more dull looking. For touching up other colours I use Humbrol. Don't know if that is 'the standard' for painting action figures figures, I am not a hardcore pa...

R.O.C. figures are made from a limited number of different parts, so the hole might be for some other figure?
